Colorado Shih Tzu
and Maltese Rescue
Welcome to the Colorado Shih Tzu and Maltese Rescue web site.  The purpose of our website is to provide you the
opportunity to learn about us and about all our little friends who need loving homes.  We hope you will be touched by
some of the stories our wonderful little dogs have to tell and will encourage you to provide that special little fur baby with
a second chance in life.
JUST A REMINDER!!!
As Valentine's Day is coming up, Colorado Shih Tzu, Maltese, and Lhasa Apso Rescue can benefit from your online
shopping at NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU if you start your shopping by going through the http://www.igive.com website
-- over 700 stores participate and are willing to give back a percentage of the sale to non profit charities.

We have more dogs than ever, in large part due to the state of the economy this year, and our vet bills are very large (that
would be an understatement).  We rely strictly on in-kind donations and adoption fees of our dogs to pay all the bills the
rescue incurs in trying to help these dogs.

If you would be willing to go through www.igive.com and pick Colorado Shih Tzu, Maltese, and Lhasa Apso Rescue as
your charity of choice, it's an easy way to give without an additional cost to you.
Can you help us? We are in need of  people who would be willing to foster and provide
temporary homes for the dogs we are taking in.  If you are interested in fostering, please go
to the "Foster" tab to learn about fostering and fill in the application.
I'm Munchkin.
I wear my heart on my "face."
He is your friend, your partner, your
defender, your dog.  You are his
life, his love, his leader.  He will be
yours, faithful and true, to the last
beat of his heart.  You owe it to
him to be worthy of such devotion.

ARE OUR DOGS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOUR FAMILY?
Shih tzu's, maltese and lhasa apso's are small dogs and are easily hurt if they are mishandled.
Our experience has shown that young children are not aware of the consequences of
mishandling these dogs so if you have small children over the age of 8 years, please give
some thought as to how they will interact with the dog.  If you feel your children can treat the
dogs properly, then one of our furbabies may be right for your family.  If that be the case, feel
free to fill in an Adoption Application.
Valentine's Day is coming up!
